Nassua, Bahamas - Aquaventure Water Park at Atlantis

One of our favorite destinations is the Bahamas. From our home in Orlando, it is just a short flight away, but it’s also easy to get on a short 3 or 4 night Bahamian cruise. Along with the crystal clear water, we just love that tropical feeling and the relaxation, but the Aquaventure Water Park at Atlantis was on a completely different level!

Aquaventure is a one-of-a-kind, 141-acre water park. This non-stop aquatic playground features over twenty million gallons of water, magnificent Atlantean-themed towers housing high-speed water slides, a mile-long river ride with rolling rapids and wave surges, 20 swimming areas, a spectacular kids water-play fort, and 11 refreshing swimming pools.

The Leap of Faith water slide pictured here offers a daring and adventurous almost-vertical drop from the top of the iconic Mayan Temple. This 60-foot body slide propels riders at tremendous speed through a clear acrylic tunnel submerged in a lagoon filled with amazing marine life!

We had the opportunity to visit Atlantis during a Bahamian cruise on the Disney Magic in April 2018. This is a resort you can visit as a cruise line excursion, or you can plan an entire Bahamian vacation to stay here!
